CONSENT TO ACT AS A HUMAN RESEARCH PARTICIPANT

Job Satisfaction and Employee Engagement among Tenure-Track and Non-Tenure-Track Faculty

You are being asked to participate in a research study conducted by Roberto Bueno, PhD and Kali Lilienthal. Participation in this study is completely voluntary. Please read the information below and ask questions about anything that you do not understand before deciding if you want to participate. A researcher listed below will be available to answer your questions.
PURPOSE OF STUDY
The purpose of this study is to examine engagement and job satisfaction levels among faculty.
SUBJECTS
Inclusion Requirements
You are eligible to participate in this study if you are at least 18 years or older and currently work as a faculty member at a community college or university.
Time Commitment
This study will involve approximately 15 to 30 minutes to complete.
PROCEDURES
The following procedures will occur: You will complete a survey that will ask you a series of questions regarding employee engagement and job satisfaction.
RISKS AND DISCOMFORTS
The possible risks and/or discomforts associated with the procedures described in this study include fatigue and mild discomfort. This study involves no more than minimal risk. There are no known harms or discomforts associated with this study beyond those encountered in normal daily life.

Compensation for Participation
You will not be paid for your participation in this research study.
WITHDRAWAL OR TERMINATION FROM THE STUDY

CONFIDENTIALITY
Subject Identifiable Data
The primary researcher will receive a data file through Qualtrics. The data file will not include any identifying information, i.e., survey participants remain anonymous. The anonymous data will remain on a password-protected computer and will be deleted five years after completion of the research.
